Debt makes protection more important

Key person risk in property companies
The most valuable person may be the one who knows how the portfolio actually works.
A key person in a property company may not have the biggest salary or the most formal title. That means it should not be relied on to repay company debt, replace a key person’s profit contribution or fund a shareholder buyout unless the structure and purpose have been properly reviewed.
